June 1993, created the first sculptures in glass recycled, made by hand. Gianfranco uses plate glass recovery, cutting slabs from small fragments of regular shapes (squares, rectangles and triangles) and appropriately treated to not be sharp (you invent a tool for this purpose). These are then assembled, following shapes soft as ovals, circles or natural forms. The shapes are obtained with these small glass fragments resemble jellyfish, the only marine creatures transparent and luminescent from this observation, Gianfranco has obtained the name of this creation.

In 1996 he left teaching Gianfranco Basic design and color at the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED of Turin), where he taught from 1989 to follow only its self-production Le Meduse.
